Ribfest: Event Campign Redesign

Taste the Flames was a high-impact campaign project designed to ignite excitement and capture attention through bold visuals and energetic messaging. The campaign aimed to connect with audiences by evoking intensity, flavour, and passion, creating an immersive identity that stood out across digital and print media.

Exsploring The BBQ Business

The primary goal of this project was to revitalize an existing community food festival by creating a bold, unified identity that stands out in a crowded event landscape. The previous branding lacked consistency, making it hard to convey the festival's vibrant energy and broad appeal.

For the "Taste of Flames" campaign, I began with inspired sketches rooted in a clear vision for the logo’s transformation. I believe in translating ideas into visuals that capture the essence of the company.

Through in-depth research, I analyzed the target market and competitors, uncovering effective design elements and opportunities to elevate our brand. My aim was to create something captivating that differentiates us in the market.

I curated a mood board and sketched a range of innovative concepts. After presenting these to the client, I embraced their feedback, fine-tuning our approach until we achieved a compelling final design. With renewed confidence, we prepared to unveil the redesigned campaign, ready to inspire and make a lasting impact.

Planning Phase

My campaign highlights flames and fire to show how they enhance great food. The main graphic features a striking steak, adding energy and excitement to our event. Guests can expect a thrilling experience with plenty of activities.

We maintain a consistent flame theme in our event stations and promotional materials. Now targeting an adult audience, I created a lively late-night atmosphere with various alcohol vendors and brand partnerships.

I chose a bold colour scheme of warm tones to match the theme, using a mix of sans-serif and serif fonts for strength. These design choices emphasize the vibrant spirit of the event, making it memorable for attendees.

The Outcome

This project offered valuable insights into understanding the target market and the concept of cross-branding. I explored transforming digital media into tangible formats like posters, merchandise, and event spaces, adapting designs to fit specific locations.

Overall, it was an exciting branding experience that allowed me to refine a core event concept and express that theme consistently across various media platforms.
